Foreword

Money moves faster
than the textbook.

A short introduction to this handbook

Finance is no longer a room with a ledger in it. Settlement runs on rails that never close, credit decisions are scored by models, portfolios rebalance in code, and a single regulatory circular can redraw a business line in a quarter. This handbook introduces a programme built for that reality — one where every course ends in something you have actually produced, on the terminals, spreadsheets, and platforms the profession runs on.

Over eight semesters you move from posting your first journal entry to defending a capstone. You will not only study concepts; you will build valuation models, audit working papers, tax returns, backtested strategies, risk registers, and equity research with a real recommendation attached — a portfolio of work that speaks before you do.

Think of the pages that follow as a map. They show where you begin, how each semester is stacked deliberately on the one before it, and the three specialised paths that open once your foundation is set. Whether you are a prospective student weighing your options, a current student planning ahead, or an advisor guiding a cohort, this is the clearest single view of the journey.

How to read this book. The first pages explain the philosophy and shape of the programme. The second half walks through the curriculum semester by semester — each course paired with its teaching block, credits, tools, the concrete output you build, and the career roles it opens.

About the Programme

Four pillars,
one discipline.

What Finance means here

This programme stands on four pillars — accounting and reporting, markets and investment, risk and regulation, and financial technology. Rather than teaching them as separate silos, the curriculum treats them as one discipline: record the numbers honestly, read what they mean, price the risk attached to them, and use technology to do all three at scale.

Three principles run through every course.

01

Tools the industry actually uses

Bloomberg, Stockbit and IDX data, Coretax and e-Faktur, ATLAS, Power BI, EViews, Python, SWIFT. You train on the software you are expected to know on day one, not simplified stand-ins.

02

An output for every course

Each subject ends in a tangible deliverable: a valuation model, an audit file, a tax return, a dashboard, a research note with a call on it. You graduate with proof of work, not just a transcript.

03

Regulation is part of the craft

OJK and Bank Indonesia rules, Basel III/IV, PSAK and IFRS, APU-PPT, and professional ethics are taught inside the technical work — because a model that ignores the rulebook is a model nobody can use.

Tracks

The 147-credit structure comfortably clears the national minimum for an undergraduate degree, and it is paced with intent. The first two semesters front-load the technical core — accounting, taxation, financial management, statement analysis — so that the market and risk work later has something solid to stand on. The middle years add data, technology, and institutional scale. The final stretch turns everything outward, into a community project, research, and a capstone.

Two Blocks per Semester

Every term is split into two teaching blocks, Block A and Block B, so courses run in two focused waves rather than eight at once across sixteen weeks. The block for each course is shown in the tables that follow.

One Choice, Three Directions

Specialisation opens in Semester 5, when you commit to Capital Market, Corporate Finance, or Banking and carry that focus through to graduation. Each track carries the same 22-credit weight; only six of its eight courses differ.

Learning Progression

Eight steps, one climb.

From recording the numbers to defending your own
S1
Record

Build the technical core — the accounting cycle, taxation, financial management, and a first look at markets and FinTech.

S2
Analyse

Learn to interrogate the numbers: audit them, test them against economics and mathematics, read a company through its statements.

S3
Automate

Bring data, systems, and AI into finance work — dashboards, treasury systems, and your first algorithmic strategy.

S4
Manage

Move up to institution scale: portfolios, macro policy, cyber and ESG risk, and the governance wrapped around them.

S5
Specialise

Choose your track and go deep — Capital Market, Corporate Finance, or Banking.

S6
Digitise

Work at the FinTech and digital-banking frontier, then take financial literacy out into a real community.

S7
Investigate

Add behavioural insight, governance, and anti-corruption practice to rigorous research and innovation.

S8
Prove

Deliver a capstone — collaborative project, product prototype, scientific publication, or thesis.

Three Paths to Specialise

Choose your depth.

The tracks that open in Semester 5

The first four semesters give every student the same broad foundation. From Semester 5 onward you commit to one track and sharpen that foundation into a focused, job-ready skill set — carried all the way through to the capstone. All three tracks share English and Professional Ethics; the other six courses are what set them apart.
